We’re asking all our children and families to get involved in our new bottle and can collection fundraiser! Each week, children will be asked to bring an empty bottles or can to school, helping us to raise money while also doing something positive for our environment. 🌍💚
The money raised will be shared between TPS and a local animal shelter, supporting our school community and helping animals in need. 🐶🐱
It’s a simple way to make a difference – one bottle or can at a time! 💚

TPS welcomes Minister Sean Canney!
We were delighted to welcome Minister Sean Canney and the RSA to Trinity Primary School, Tuam as they launched their new Child Casualties Report and raised awareness of the importance of road safety as children return to school.
A huge thank you to our wonderful boys and girls who got out of bed bright and early on their second-last day of the summer holidays to help the RSA and Minister Canney spread this very important message! 👏💚
We’re so proud of them for getting involved and helping to remind everyone to slow down, stay alert and take extra care around our schools.
Thank you to Minister Canney and the RSA for visiting TPS and for all the important work you do to help keep our children safe. 🚸
Curious Minds Gold Award
We’re delighted to announce that TPS has been awarded the Research Ireland Gold Curious Minds Award!
The Curious Minds programme supports schools in developing children’s natural curiosity through hands-on, inquiry-based STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) learning.
To achieve this award, we showcased the fantastic STEM work taking place throughout the school this year, from Junior Infants right through to 6th Class. Our pupils demonstrated creativity, problem-solving, collaboration and a genuine enthusiasm for exploring the world around them.
We were especially proud to receive the following feedback from Research Ireland:
“You have had great opportunities to share your learning in STEM with the wider school community, including the Minister for Education. I was also very impressed with your Clanns where the junior pupils work with the senior pupils. What a lovely activity to develop technology skills.”
This recognition reflects the hard work and enthusiasm of our pupils, the dedication of our staff, and the support of our wider school community. Congratulations to everyone involved in making STEM such an exciting and engaging part of life in TPS!

A brilliant result for the TPS boys who won a fantastic match in KDM after extra time. Huge congratulations to Mr. Mannion, Sean Murphy and all the team who did us proud today.
