Mr Crowe, Mr Broderick and Ms Farrell travelled to Madeira in Portugal where they attended a course “AI Assistant for Teachers and Trainers and AI for Innovative Teaching”
The course explored how artificial intelligence can support teaching and learning through the creation of educational content. Throughout the course they gained hands- on experience where they trialled and tested a variety of AI tools such as Gamma, Chat gpt and Notebook LM. They used AI to enhance lesson planning, create engaging teaching resources and personalise learning for students. They also discussed the ethical use of AI in education and how teachers can help students develop critical thinking and digital learning skills.
