A Day in Ms. Carroll’s Senior Infants 🌟

🧪 We started our day with a science experiment to investigate which materials are waterproof. Using a water dropper, we tested tinfoil, paper towels, cotton wool, baking paper, fabric, and plastic. We discovered that tinfoil was the most waterproof material. It was great fun!

🏃Next, we enjoyed an energetic movement break with the “Wiggle Dance.”

📖During our literacy stations, we took part in a variety of fun activities. We played our favourite sight words game, BAM, children are making fantastic progress with their sight words.

💰In maths, we focused on learning about money. The children exchanged coins for cubes to help them understand the value of each coin. We discussed what things we could buy with the money that we had.
☘️In Gaeilge, the children listened to the story An Fear Sinséir. Afterwards, they took turns acting out the story, which they really enjoyed.

☔We ended the day by reciting our poem “Dripsy Dropsy” and creating colourful umbrellas for our rain-themed artwork.
What a great day in our classroom!👏👏
