Every Child a Reader – Book Gifting Programme
TPS has been selected as a Children’s Books Ireland school as part of the Every Child a Reader programme. This exciting initiative aims to inspire a lifelong love of reading and encourages every child in our school to read more and enjoy reading more.
As part of the programme, the school welcomed “Champion of Reading”, author Áine Ní Ghlinn, who delivered engaging workshops with our Third Class children. In addition, we received a diverse range of books that have been chosen to reflect the interests and reading abilities of our pupils. Later in the year, pupils will also have the opportunity to select some of the books themselves, helping to shape the school’s collection.
Families will also receive tips and suggested reading lists to support reading at home.
This programme marks an exciting step in supporting reading and building a strong culture of reading across the school.
