Maths for Fun Workshops
Maths for Fun involves collaborative workshops with our Third Class pupils, their parents and TY students from ArchBishop McHale Secondary School. The workshops are designed to foster a love of mathematics in children. The initiative gives pupils the opportunity to apply the mathematical concepts they learn in school in a fun, relaxed, and structured environment.
During the workshops, children and parents work together in small groups to play simple maths games and take part in hands-on activities. This provides a valuable opportunity for parents to spend quality time with their children at school while supporting their learning.
The Maths for Fun collaborative learning initiative aims to:
- Support pupils’ learning through hands-on activities and parental involvement.
- Reduce anxiety around Mathematics by introducing fun and variety into the learning process.
- Encourage parents to engage positively and meaningfully in their children’s education.
