Get Ready with Teddy is an Early Intervention Transition programme for our new Junior Infants starting in primary school. Each incoming child is given a pack containing activities that include; ‘My School’ picture book, rhymes, fine motor activities and much more. This programme takes place over 4 weeks and consists of 4 folders, 4 activities and lots of fun for both parent and children. Each week, parents receive a communication that includes an easy-to-follow video and clear instructions on what needs to be completed for that week. It breaks down the barriers of language, gives access to books and activities, which will help reduce anxiety around the transition and create a sense of excitement which in turn will motivate the children to come to school with a positive attitude to learn.
