This morning, we started with a lovely writing activity all about the luck we have in our lives. We reflected on the people, places and things that make us feel grateful and lucky.
Next, we took part in a fantastic Creative Schools webinar for Creative February with author and illustrator Paddy Donnelly. We loved hearing all about his new book, The Upside-Down Lighthouse, and learning about his creative process. Inspired by his illustrations, we designed our very own mythical creatures using body parts from three different animals… the results were wild and wonderful!
To finish off our day, we got into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit! We painted pots of gold under bright rainbows, adding extra stars to make them sparkle and shine . We also cut out shamrocks and used cotton buds to paint them in different shades of green – they turned out amazing!
