A Day in Ms. Burke’s Senior Infants 🌟
We had a brilliant day today in Senior Infants.
In the morning we had literacy stations where we worked very hard. We listened to an audiobook, we sounded out and wrote words and finally read some books.
Later in the morning we went to Aistear where we learned all about the farm through imaginative play.
Before break we practiced our Irish and sang our favourite amhrán: “Is mise an Madra”.
After Break it was time for Maths. We are learning to add numbers and we use lots of concrete materials to help us find the correct answers.
In Oral Language we have been listening to and creating stories. We used our favourite app “Draw and Tell” on the ipads to draw and record our own stories using a microphone.
At the end of the day when all our schoolwork was done, it was time to enjoy some pancakes for Pancake Tuesday. We chose from a variety of toppings and they were delicious. We also cut out and decorated pancakes while we ate.
What a fun day. We wish everyday was Pancake Tuesday.
